Edo North senator, Adams Oshiomhole, on Saturday alleged that the African Democratic Congress presidential running mate, Rotimi Amaechi once called the party's flagbearer, Atiku Abubakar, a thief and an election rigger.
Oshiomhole made the claim during President Bola Tinubu's presidential campaign rally in Rivers State on Saturday.
He said, "The minister reminded us about Amaechi. Amaechi is my friend but among your friends, there are good ones and there are bad ones, he is a very bad one. Now, it's true that he is not campaigning but in Rivers State, Amaechi became a governor without being on the ballot box.
"During Buhari's tenure, Amaechi was the director general of the campaign, when he saw that Wike's forces were going to overrun him, Amaechi unwisely announced that he has boycotted the election and that is why Wike and the leader of the coalition spoke to that.
"Last one, you know that Amaechi described his boss as a thief, he said on paper before the court that Atiku did not win the primaries, that Atiku rigged the primaries, so if we call Atiku a rigger we are quoting Amaechi and this are court documents. So, what happened?
"What did the thief offer him for running mate? Amaechi was ready to eat his vomit and become the vice president of a candidate that is dead on arrival."
