Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu climbs in Springbok all-time points list

Thanks to his 16-point haul against Japan at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu has continued his climb up the Springboks’ all-time Test points scorers list.

Feinberg-Mngomezulu, 23, played a key role South Africa’s 61-7 demolition of the Brave Blossoms in London.

His 16 points came via two tries and three conversions.

The former Bishops pupil entered the match on 104 career Test points after 15 Tests – at an average of 6.9 points per match. That had placed him 31st in terms of points scored in the green and gold jersey.

Come the final whistle, Feinberg-Mngomezulu had moved to 120 Test points scored and into a tie for 26th place overall at an new average of 7.5 points per outing.

He’s now level with JP Pieterson (70 Tests), with Cheslin Kolbe (126 points) the next player ahead.

Feinberg-Mngomezulu should get the opportunity to add to his Springbok points tally in South Africa’s next match against France at the Stade de France in Paris on Saturday, 8 November.
