Alex Iwobi has set his sights on becoming the African player with the most Premier League appearances, DAILY POST reports.
The Fulham midfielder climbed to second place on the all-time list following his side’s 1-1 draw against Aston Villa at Villa Park last Saturday.
Iwobi was previously tied in second position with former Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah.
The 30-year-old has so far registered 329 appearances across spells for three clubs.
Iwobi made 100 and 123 appearances for Arsenal and Everton respectively. He has so far played 106 times for Fulham.
Former Ivory Coast international Kolo Toure tops the list with 352 appearances.
"But I'm trying to break the record, I think Kolo Toure is up there, so I'll keep my eyes going forward and see if I can break that," Iwobi said to FFC TV.
